Charity Shop Volunteers

In November 2012 we opened the doors of our first ever charity shop. Over the last year and a half we have grown from strength to strength and now we have seven charity shops, in Northallerton, Thirsk, Stokesley, Catterick Garrison, Masham, Richmond and Bedale.

In order for us to keep maintaining the high standards that we have come to expect in our shops we need help. Are you able to give up one morning or afternoon a week, to help in one of our charity shops?

We have both front of house opportunities and back of house opportunities which range from greeting customers, to designing the window displays, working on the till, organising and sorting through the new donations and creating themes for different seasons.

No two days are ever the same in the shop; you have the opportunity to make new friendships and really make a difference. If you are interested in volunteering in our charity shops please call us on 01609 777413.

Edward Carter - Shop and Office Volunteer

"I volunteer for two afternoons each week for Herriot Hospice Homecare. On Mondays, I work in the office and on a Friday, I work in the charity shop. I enjoy working alongside the staff and other volunteers, as I get to meet lots of new people. There is always a friendly atmosphere.

I chose to volunteer for Herriot as it’s a charity which helps local people."
