Green-fingered supporters releasing new charity single
Green-fingered Herriot supporters, The Allotmenteers, are releasing a charity single to mark the Platinum Jubilee, which will support a trio of charities, including Herriot's hospice care. 
The Allotmenteers are a Northallerton-based group of old friends and veg growers who, led by Jon Stephenson, came together in 2020 to ‘grow some positivity’, donating proceeds from the sale of their produce to charity.
When their friend Paul Brennan was cared for by Herriot Hospice Homecare before his death in November 2019, the group set up a memorial fund to thank the charity for the support and comfort they offered Paul and his family.
Now, the group is releasing a new single - God Save our Greens - as part of the Platinum Jubilee this June, which will follow up their 2021 festive single 'Sprouts!'.
