Proceeds from local artist's Covid-19 piece supports hospice

A local artist has created a poignant piece of art to mark the Covid-19 pandemic, with half of the proceeds supporting Herriot Hospice Homecare's care and support.

The piece, called ‘Sending Love’, has been created by Vicki Davidson, and depicts the difficult times we are all facing, with a rainbow of hope at the end of the road. It will be hung in Northallerton’s Friarage Hospital. The piece follows her previous painting from earlier on this year called ‘Sending Hope’.

She said: “Herriot Hospice Homecare is a charity really close to my heart after they looked after a dear friend during her hard-fought battle with cancer last year. The team also provided tremendous support and comfort to her husband and family members.

“The care and dedication of Herriot Hospice Homecare enabled my friend to pass away at home, surrounded by love, which was her wish.”

Vicki has now made Sending Love available as prints and greeting cards, and half of the proceeds will support the hospice charity's work with people living with terminal illness and bereavement across Hambleton and Richmondshire. Find out more at https://vickidavidson.com/product/sending-love/.
