Joyce's 100 stand ups for 100th birthday
Herriot Hospice Homecare supporter Joyce Richardson is challenging herself to complete 100 stand ups ahead of her 100th birthday on June 2.
99-year-old Joyce nearly lost use of both of her legs after a stay in hospital last summer, and has chosen to take on her inspiring challenge to stand 100 times for 10 seconds each to support Herriot before her milestone birthday.
She said: “It may not seem much to most people but, believe you and me, hauling myself up out of the chair is a huge struggle every time!
“I want to support Herriot Hospice Homecare as a thank you to them for the wonderful support they gave to my family last year, and raise money to help them support other individuals and families in similar circumstances.”
