Hospice Care Week
Hospice Care Week 8-14th October
Hospice Care week is an annual week of activity to raise the profile of hospice care across the UK. The aim is to raise awareness and celebrate the amazing work that hospices carry out in the community and encourage people to support their local hospice by donating, volunteering and showing they care- this year's theme is 'Heart my Hospice'.
Herriot Hospice provides end of life care, free of charge, to the residents of North Yorkshire, Hambleton and Richmondshire and we need to raise £1 million pounds to continue delivering this service. This rural area equates to 1000 square miles, our Health Care Assistants travel 271,000 miles a year which is the equivalent of circling the globe more than 10 times!
We would love you to get involved with Hospice Care Week, by fundraising for Herriot Hospice Homecare. We can provide posters and materials to help raise awareness of the care and support we provide in the local community as well as our exciting assortment of volunteering opportunities!
