Yorkshire's Biggest Dog Walk a great success!
braving the summer downpour to support local hospice care as part of Yorkshire’s Biggest Dog Walk.
Julian Norton, star of the Channel 5 hit series The Yorkshire Vet, led walkers on the countryside course – there was mud, puddles aplenty and some seriously soggy doggies – but most of all there were smiles and wagging tails from our pawesome community.
Here’s to you: we’re saying a HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us today; we were humbled by the show of suppawt, and inspired by the enthusiasm of our walkers, amazing volunteers and each and every person who made the event possible.
We are exceptionally grateful to Julian Norton and the team at Daisybeck Studios for their wonderful and continued support; to Thorp Perrow Arboretum Wildlife Park for providing the magnificent venue and Pony Club for rising to the occasion with a very generous marquee loan; Stray FM's Will Smith for keeping walkers entertained and updated before and after taking part in the walk himself along with pooch, Harry; and to the many local businesses who supported the event, including The Natural Dog Food Company, Woofing Gorgeous, The Dog Backpacker, Rose Raven Photography, and Spring House Farm Shop and Café.
