We’re pleased to be welcoming local people to our Community Hub at Herriot Hospice@The Lambert – the first time the transformed building will begin serving our community widely.
The Hub provides a space where our staff and volunteers will welcome local people with the opportunity to purchase refreshments and find out more about our services and ways to get involved, including volunteering and fundraising. It’s initially open 10am-2pm, Monday-Friday. It will also host some of our existing and growing services – such as our Digital Support Service and Wellbeing Services for people, their families and carers living with terminal illness locally.
Our Wellbeing Network’s weekly drop-in is also moving to Herriot Hospice@The Lambert. If you’re affected by terminal illness, bereavement or emotional wellbeing, our Wellbeing Team invite you to drop in every Tuesday, 2-4pm. You can access information, support and meet others for peer support over a cuppa.
Our regulated services – those which are inspected by the Care Quality Commission, including our inpatient care and other elements of our outpatient support – are currently pending authorisation by the regulator. We are prepared to provide these services as soon as this care is authorised and funding arrangements are in place, and continue putting the finishing touches to our inpatient rooms.
