Sion Hill Hall Open Garden

Sion Hill Hall, Kirby Wiske near Thirsk Y07 4EU is opening their garden for National Garden Scheme(NGS) on Saturday 20th June and Sunday 21st June between 11 til 5pm. Herriot Hospice Homecare are running a fundraising refreshments stall at the open gardens.

The garden surrounds an Arts and Crafts neo-Georgian house built in 1913, designed by Walter Brierley of York (not open). After years of neglect the gardens have been restored and replanted by Michael Mallaby. Formal parterre, Baroque statuary, clipped box and hornbeam. Long Walk, with yews, shrubs and herbaceous planting. Kitchen garden. Centenary garden.
