One you have registered you will receive an event pack in the post, outlining all the details you need for the day, along with plenty of fundraising hints and tips!


Event details:

All 3 routes will start and end at Jervaulx Abbey, Jervaulx, Ripon, HG4 4PH.
On the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, Jervaulx Abbey is situated halfway between Masham and Leyburn on the A6108. 

The Yorkshire Vet:
We’re delighted that celebrity vet, Julian Norton, will also join us on the day, offering fans of ‘The Yorkshire Vet’ the chance to meet one of the faces of the series in this special setting. 

Please ‘check-in’ at these times on the day:
• 12 mile route- please arrive between 8:30am - 10:00am
• 7 mile route- please arrive between 8:30am - 11:30am
• 2 mile route- please arrive between 8:30am - 2:30pm
Our volunteers will sign you in and issue you with a Walker ID.

The route:
There are 3 routes to choose from: 2 miles, 7 miles and 12 miles:
2 mile route 
7 mile route
12 mile route

Please note only the 2 mile route is suitable for pushchairs and wheel chairs, the 7 mile and 12 mile route are both cross country and contain numerous styles. 

There is parking at the venue, please follow the directions of our volunteer parking marshals. Please note that the closest bays will be saved for wheel chair and pushchair users.

Refreshments/comfort breaks:
Delicious homemade cakes, scones, sandwiches and hot drinks will be available from the Jervaulx Abbey tearoom.
We will also have comfort break facilities around the 7 mile and 12 mile route: Thornton Steward Village Hall and the Queens Head in Finghall.

Dogs are very welcome at the event, but please ensure they are kept on a lead at all times and have up to date vaccinations. 

Don't forget to bring some change with you, we will have a range of Herriot merchandise that you will be able to purchase at the event, including Herriot t-shirts. If you would like to personalise your t-shirt, please contact us and we can arrange for you to collect your t-shirt in advance.

Donations for our shops!
If you are having a summer sort out and want to donate your unwanted clothes, shoes or homeware, please take it along to the event and we can distribute your items to our shops to sell or recycle!
