Frequently Asked Questions

What is the handmade daisy? 

Our daisies have been especially designed for this campaign, made by hand using recycled metals, making each one unique. Our daises are durable, weather resistant, and approximate dimensions are H44cm x W10cm. 

 How do I get my daisy?

You can collect your daisy from the end of September from our hospice Reception, at the Lambert in Thirsk, or we can post it to you for an additional cost. Please call our Supporter Care team on 01609 777 413 to arrange payment. 

Can I dedicate more than one daisy? 

Yes, you can dedicate as many daisies as you wish, and every £25 will make a difference to our work. To dedicate multiple daisies, please fill in a separate form for each to allow us to keep track of each dedication as we have a limited number available.  

Can I change the name on my dedication? 

Yes, your dedication name will be on a tag rather than engraved so you can absolutely change the name whenever you wish. When you collect your daisy, we will include a tag along with your daisy too. 

How do I add Gift Aid to my daisy? 

We unfortunately can’t accept Gift Aid on your daisy but your £25 is still hugely valuable to us at Herriot Hospice and equates to over one hour of nursing care for local people and their families.

Can I display my daisy outdoors?

Yes. Your handcrafted metal daisy is suitable for displaying outdoors and is designed to be enjoyed in your garden or another outdoor space.

As with all metal exposed to the elements, your daisy may naturally weather over time. To help protect its finish and keep it looking its best, we recommend applying a coat of clear yacht varnish or clear lacquer once a year.

Please note that these daisies are decorative keepsakes and are not toys. They may have sharp edges, so should be handled with care and kept out of reach of young children.
