Herriot at Home is a newly established care provider, associated with Herriot Hospice Homecare. Working throughout Hambleton and Richmondshire, we are a social enterprise which financially supports the services provided by Herriot Hospice Homecare a registered charity. The service provides high quality care, support and companionship at home. We are looking to recruit the following:
Service Coordinator
(2 days per week)
£9.10 per hour
We are looking to recruit an additional Service Coordinator to join our Service team working primarily with Herriot at Home, our Homecare agency, the profits from which support the charity. We are looking for someone with experience in assessing individual care needs in a demanding and fast paced environment.
The role is for 2 days per week with flexibility to increase this to cover holiday period and you will also be required to participate in the out of hours on call rota.

Care Assistants
(Bank and Core)
£6.19 – £7.10 per hour, basic rate
Additional enhancements payable for work at weekends, public holidays and overnights.
Plus paid travel time and additional mileage rate
Uniform, equipment and mobile phone provided.

Opportunities are available for Care Assistants, to join our team of Bank and core staff. Applicants should be available to work a variable number of hours each week including the possibility of overnight work, be able to travel to the homes of patients throughout Hambleton and Richmondshire and have a commitment to the provision of the highest standards of care. Applicants should ideally have experience of a similar role working in the community.
We are currently looking to add to our existing team with staff in the Thirsk, Northallerton and Stokesley areas.

Volunteer Bereavement Counsellor
We are looking to recruit a number of interested applicants in becoming Volunteer Bereavement Counsellors. Herriot Bereavement Service follows a rigorous selection process to ensure a high standard of counselling support to all our clients.
There are certain mandatory criterion that have to be met to be considered. Mainly we adhere to the BACP Ethic Framework to which all practitioners are strongly encouraged to aspire.
Selection is based on progress through the counselling courses, and as a minimum we require that applicants have moved on to a Level 4 course or degree equivalent. Acceptance into Herriot Bereavement Service consists of an application form with two satisfactory references, internal training and a CRB check. We especially welcome applications from counsellors with previous counselling experience.
Our expectation is that counsellors will remain working with us for a minimum of two years.

Fundraiser
Starting salary of £8.50ph
We are looking to recruit a Fundraiser to join our team based in our offices in Northallerton working 25 hours per week, to include some evenings and weekends.
You will work as part of the Fundraising team, to achieve financial targets, by organising and running events, supporting individuals who raise money for us. working with local companies under “Charity of the Year” arrangements and helping to run our retail outlets.
You will be creative, organised and confident in speaking to the public. Previous fundraising experience would be an advantage. A good standard of computer literacy is essential.

Volunteer Administrative Assistant
We are currently looking for volunteer admin assistants for our offices in Northallerton in particular all day on a Tuesday, Friday morning and on an adhoc basis.
The post holder provides administrative and practical support to the Administration Team and the Fundraising Team. Key responsibilities; reception and telephone answering service in the office, Check the Admin Inbox daily and redirect all emails to an appropriate member of staff, Assist in the opening of post and the counting of cash received from events, collecting boxes etc, check timesheets and verify claims, ensure the accurate recording of income on the Fundraising Database system and process ‘Thank You’ letters, prepare and post outgoing mail, provide general typing and admin support and carry out a range of administrative tasks for the office.
Full training will be given.
