Become a Bereavement Support Volunteer
Bereavement Support Volunteers are fundamental to helping us to meet the growing need for bereavement support services in the area.
Through funding secured through North Yorkshire County Council Innovation Fund we seek to recruit and train volunteers with an interest in providing psychological and emotional support to others. It is a stimulating and responsible role, and we are looking for volunteers who are able to commit to regular time-giving including in school holidays.
- A comprehensive 8 – 10 week training programme
- Regular supervision and support in developing your practice;
- Ongoing development of your counselling skills.
The next Bereavement Support training course will start in March 2017 and will run on a Friday morning from 10am – 1pm. The course will take place at Herriot Hospice Homecare in 18 Omega Business Village, Thurston Road, Northallerton, DL6 2NJ
