Lady Captain Anne Thompson of Romanby Golf Club, Northallerton held a Ladies Charity Lunch on Friday 19^th April in support of Herriot Hospice Homecare, as HHH is the Lady Captains charity of the Year 2013.

During the Lunch Baroness Harris spoke about her experiences in the House of Lords and Rosie Page talked about Herriot Hospice Homecare to the 120 ladies in attendance. The raffle alone raised over £1200 for Herriot.

The event will be held in the Main Hall in Northallerton College and will be hosted by Northallerton College Design and Technology faculty – textiles.

Tickets cost £3.00 and entrants can either pay at the door or get tickets from either Northallerton College Reception or the Herriot Hospice Homecare Charity shop.

There will also be a raffle on the night!

With a Registration fee of £30, we are also asking walkers to raise as much as they can in sponsorship support with an aim of raising over £3,000 in total!!

This 40 mile crossing of the whole of the North Yorkshire Moors will test even the keenest of walkers and is a good test of individual character and strength.

The walk will start from the new location of Carlton Lodge in Carlton Minniot, Thirsk at 10pm and will finsh at approximately 12am.

The walk will consist of two distances; 3 miles and 6 miles.

There will be an environmentally friendly lantern release at around midnight to mark the end of the walk.

Register before Friday the 10th of May to get your reduced entry of £8, or pay £10 after.

Pyjamas are optional but highly encouraged.
